The Wastewater Treatment Department is responsible for the collection, treatment, and discharge of Graham’s wastewater in compliance with state and federal regulations. The City owns it own wastewater treatment plant and collection system. The Activated Sludge Treatment Plant is located on Salt Creek. It is permitted to treat 2.1 million gallons of wastewater each day. The Wastewater Department also operates and maintains 66 miles of wastewater collection lines and 15 lift stations throughout the City, which carry wastewater from individual homes and businesses to the wastewater treatment plant.
