In a continued effort to enhance the life of residents, the City of Graham owns and operates its own public swimming pool. The municipal pool features a water park slide, splash pad and two 2-meter diving boards. It is open to the public Monday through Saturday and allows private parties in the evenings. Swim lessons and Swim Camps are offered every summer.

Pool Rental Information

Graham Residents and members of surrounding communities can rent Pool Facility

  • A $50 deposit is required to rent the pool. The deposit will be returned ONLY if the pool area and restrooms are clean and there is no damage to the pool area, restrooms, or furniture.  Renters will be responsible for damages or cleaning costs more than the $50 deposit.
  • Private Party Fees
    • $150 per two-hour party for up to 30 swimmers
    • $175 per two-hour party for 31-50 swimmers
    • $200 per two-hour for 50+ swimmers
    •  2 hours minimum and 4 hours maximum
  • Private Party Hours
    • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:00pm -8:00pm
    • Saturday 4:30pm-6:30pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm
    • Sundays 1:30-3:30pm, 4:00pm-6:00pm, and 6:30pm-8:30pm

 Pool Rules:

Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied/supervised by a responsible adult

  1. Pool Patron Requirements:
    • Must be attired in a swimsuit
    • Cutoffs and other makeshift swimsuits are not permitted
    • Street clothed adults may come and watch from the deck area
    • Must pay full price of admission or possess a current City of Graham season pass
  2. Denial of Pool Admission
    • Intoxication or under the influence of drugs
    • Evidence of contagious disease
    • Open wounds or sores
    • Unable to care for self due to physical or mental disability
    • Any patron that may be detrimental to pool operations, upon the judgment of the Pool Manager
  3. Prohibited Actions
    • Abusive or profane language
    • Use of all tobacco products
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Drugs
    • Chewing Gum
    • Use of Glass Bottles or Containers
    • Running, dunking, riding on shoulders, fighting, rough play, pushing, shoving, either in water or on the deck
    • Acts of physical affection
    • Flips, back or splash dives from pool side and no diving in shallow areas
    • Swimming in the diving area
    • Standing on pool ropes and lifeguard stands
    • Loitering adjacent to pool entrance
    • Animals inside pool area
  4. Diving Area Rules
    • Only one (1) person at a time is permitted on the diving board, including the ladder
    • Only one (1) bounce is permitted
    • Diving in the deep end should be off the diving board
    • Inward Dives and gainers are prohibited
    • Sitting dives, cartwheels and other non-standing dives are not permitted
    • Divers should swim immediately to the nearest ladder and climb out.  Loitering around the ladder or under the diving board is not allowed.
    • Diving area is for diving only
    • Individuals are not permitted to catch children jumping from the diving boards.
  5. Slide rules
    • Must be a minimum of 42” tall
    • Standard swimwear only; no combs, jewelry, or cutoff jeans allowed on slide   
    • Must be seated and wait for supervisory personnel to authorize start
    • Proper riding position is: lying on back, feet first, arms crossed or hands interlocked behind head; legs crossed at ankles
    • No standing on slide surface at any time
    • Only one (1) rider at a time – no multiple or chain riding allowed
    • No life jackets, inner tubes, or tee shirts allowed
    • Ride at own risk – riders should be in good general health; persons with heart or back conditions or pregnant women are not recommended to ride
    • No riding while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
    • Parents are not allowed to catch children at the bottom, please ask a lifeguard.
    • MUST EXIT SLIDE QUICKLY!
  6. Infants Through Preschool
    • Children, age six (6) and under must be directly attended (within five [5] feet) of a swimming adult during Public Swim – includes restrooms
    • Flotation devices are not recommended, unless properly fitted and USCG approved
    • Diaper changes shall only occur in the restrooms, where special tables are available
  7. Lap Swimming Lanes
    • During Public Swim, there may be lanes available for those who are trying to swim formal laps.  Priority is reserved for adults (age 18 and up) and is a continuous swimming lane.
  8. Toys and Swim Equipment
    • Patrons may use their own toys and equipment if it does not pose a safety hazard or infringe on privileges of other patrons.  Pool staff may prohibit toys or swim equipment if pool is overcrowded.
