Emergency Management coordinates the activities of various town departments responsible for continued operations during disasters, coordinates inter-local agreements for resources utilizations, communicates with state and federal agencies, and provides education and training.
Ultimately, the purpose of emergency management is to increase the City’s capabilities to respond to the hazards that threaten the City, all the while, preventing or reducing the impact of the hazards on the community.
