The City Council is the legislative and governing body of the City of Graham and consists of a mayor and four council members. Council meetings are held Thursdays on a bi-weekly basis at 9:30 am in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Wayne Christian- Mayor Wayne Christian and his family have lived in Graham since 1986, and he is beginning his third term as mayor, after serving four years on the City Council. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and earned his MBA at the University of Houston. He is an independent oil and gas producer. Over the years, he has been involved in many civic and community activities, and currently serves as a director of the Graham Education and Workforce Center and the Graham Industrial Association, and as Chairman of the Graham Airport Board. He and his wife Terri have three children, and they are active members of the First United Methodist Church in Graham
Barry White-Mayor Pro Tem, Council Member Place 2 Barry White has lived in Graham since 1988, and is beginning his third term on the City Council. He currently serves on the boards of the Young County Appraisal District and the Graham Economic Improvement Corporation. He is an independent oil and gas producer. He and his wife Susie both participate in various community activities. They have two children, R.B. and Joseph, and are active members of the First United Methodist Church in Graham.
Lydia Schupbach-Council Member Place 4 Lydia Schupbach was elected to the City Council in May 2003, and is currently serving her third term. She and her family moved to Graham in 1996. Shortly after arriving, Lydia became involved in the Graham community as a volunteer. She has served as event coordinator for Art Splash on the Square for the past seven years and is a member of the Downtown Task Force, a group of community leaders evaluating the advancement of commercial development on the downtown square. Lydia also serves on the Board of Directors for the Memorial Auditorium, the Old Post Office Museum and Art Center Board, and the Graham Convention and Visitors Bureau Board.
Jeff Dickinson- Council Member Place 3 Jeff Dickinson has served 2 terms on the Graham City Council. He graduated from Baylor University with his Bachelor of Science in Geology. He has been a Regional Sales Representative for Southern Bleacher Company for fourteen years. He is married with two daughters. His family is very active in many events in the community and attends the First United Methodist Church.
Jack Graham- Council Member Place 1
Jack Graham is serving his first term on the Graham City Council. He is a graduate of Graham High School and of the University of Texas with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management. Jack is currently employed by a local oil and gas company. Since moving back to Graham in 2004, Jack has served on the Graham Higher Education Board, the Graham Education & Workforce Center Board, the advisory committee on the addition to the Graham High School, and is an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Graham. He and his wife, Angie, have three children, Jack Jr., Mary Lyndell, and Lillian. |
