The City of Graham is not only governed by the City Council but also has many Council appointed boards which help direct the individual departments. Board members are appointed by the City Council and have terms of either two, three, or four years. There are 12 different City of Graham boards which include the Airport Board, Auditorium Board, Hospital Board, Library Board, Main Street Board, Parks & Recreation Board, Planning & Zoning Board, Graham Water Supply District, Convention and Visitors Bureau Board, Cemetery Board, Graham Economic Improvement Corporation Board, and the Arena Board.
