The City of Graham Animal Control Officer is part of the Police Department and enforces Chapter 6 of the City of Graham Code of Ordinances. The Animal Control Officer takes action regarding stray animals, livestock out, quarantines, and vicious animals. The City of Graham has a joint agreement with the Humane Society of Young County to house any confiscated animals in their shelter. If the animal has not been claimed within 72 hours, the Humane Society takes possession of the animal and the animal falls under their control.
